Our 3 Strands youth group is kicking off for the fall at a NEW TIME! We now meet on Sundays from 5-6:30 PM at the Brock house (mostly the driveway and cul-de-sac). Any 6th-12th graders looking for stronger connections with peers and deeper exploration of faith are welcome to come, whether or not you regularly attend Resurrection on Sunday mornings. Our basic format is games in cul-de-sac followed by snacks and casual conversation and then digging into the Bible for answers to the big questions of teen life. This fall, we’ll be diving into the Bible book of Philippians and finding deep truths about Jesus, joy, purpose, and contentment. RSVP or contact us for more details (like the address).
A Taste of Resurrection- Dessert Night
Interested in the community here at Resurrection? Join us at the Brock house Saturday, May 7, at 7 PM for a taste of Resurrection! Come casually connect with others, ask questions, and learn more about the vision of a Resurrection Community. This is open to anyone who is a little newer to Resurrection or is just interested in learning more about the church (even if you’ve never attended). Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols
Our Christmas Eve service of Lessons & Carols is a beautiful service for all ages that alternates Bible readings that tell the whole Christmas story of God coming to rescue the world with traditional Christmas carols that sing the story. This service is for the whole community and hosted jointly by Resurrection Community Church and Victorious Living Church and will be at the VLC building from 5-6 PM on Friday, December 24. If you can stay after, we’ll have cookies & cocoa as we continue to celebrate Christmas together. RSVP for the service is appreciated, and is required if you would like nursery care for little ones
Christmas Party
Let’s mingle and jingle! Resurrection invites you to a Christmas Party graciously hosted at the Fowlers’ home on December 19, 2021 from 5pm-8pm. Join us for an Italian dinner followed by a white elephant gift exchange. The Fowlers will provide lasagna for the main course and ask that everyone bring a side dish or dessert to share. Children are more than welcome to come so don’t let that deter you from coming! There will be a Christmas movie playing for the kids, and weather permitting, the Fowlers have a large backyard. Look for an Evite to follow for RSVP and address details. If you don’t get the Evite but would like to come, please contact us to let us know.
Christmas, Cookies, Crafts, and Pizza!
Join us for a fun family event! Saturday, December 11, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Princess Anne Rec Center, we’ll be decorating cookies, making crafts and Christmas cards, and enjoying pizza together. This is a great opportunity for Christmas fun and to make connections with other families! This is a community event, not just for Resurrection families, so anyone is encouraged to come. Thanksgiving service and chili cook - off!
On Sunday, November 21, we'll hold a special Thanksgiving service at our normal worship time of 11:15 AM at the Princess Anne Rec Center and then follow it up with a chili cook-off! We’ll join together to give thanks to God for his blessings and remember all that he has done in our lives and in the world. If you’ve thought about visiting Resurrection, this is a great Sunday to check it out and get to know some people. All are welcome for worship and to stay for the meal, whether or not you enter some chili in the contest! RSVP here and put in the notes if you are bringing a chili!
